Rigor Mortis

Bin grad wieder mal öfters am Rigor Mortis hören und wollte fragen, wer die Band sonst noch so kennt?

Rigor Mortis spielen astreinen Knüppel-Thrash mit leichten Ansätzen aus dem normalen Power Metal. Äußerst präzise gespielt und trotzdem aggressiv wie Hölle. Auf dem letzten ´91er Album "Rigor Mortis vs. the world" kamen dann verstärkt Punk-Einflüsse ins Songwriting, allerdings guter und musikalisch passender Punk der Marke Exploited, Dead Kennedys oder der Ramones.

Ich kenn die Thrasher,hab sogar mal deren Debüt wo gesehen aber leider nicht mitgenommen,aber ich bin guten Mutes das ich die Scheibe irgendwann wiederfinde!

Das Debut und die MCD "Freaks" gefallen mir gut und laufen öfters mal bei mir. Diese von Dir angesprochene "Rigor Mortis vs. the world" kenne ich aber leider nicht. Hab die auch noch nie irgendwo gesehen, klingt aber interessant was Du darüber schreibst.

Doch, die ist wirklich sehr gut. Ca. 2-3 Lieder sind eher thrashige Punksongs, während der Rest dann genau wie beim Debut oder bei der Freaks ist. Passt aber verdammt gut zusammen. Ach ja, ein Ramones Cover ist auch noch drauf (Psychotherapy)! Wirkliche Empfehlung, die CD findet man übrigens immer mal wieder bei ebay, ich hab se da für 4-6 € bekommen.

hab das erste album vor 2 monaten fürn 5er in nem second hand-laden in finnland gekauft...

das krasseste war aber ein kumpel (der penner, hehe...), der hat doch tatsächlich exhorder "slaughter in the vatican" auf platte in top-zustand fürn 10er bekommen dort...

RIGOR MORTIS sind echt saugeil. Hab die beiden LP's und die EP. Besonders das Debüt hat's mir in letzter Zeit stark angetan. Da ich das Debüt allerdings nur als Vinyl habe, hab' ich mir gerade die CD geordert, damit das Teil mal häufiger den Weg in meinen Player findet.
Bin mal gespannt, ob die Band nochmal irgendwas an neuem Material auf die Menschheit losläßt. Aktiv sind se ja immer noch, allerdings stammt der letzte Eintrag auf deren HP aus Januar des Jahres 2006...

Die Kult-Thrasher planen übrigens nach dem gelungenen KIT-Auftritt ein Comeback-Album, das wäre doch mal eine feine Sache. Dies haben sie zumindest in einem Forum angekündigt.

Aber erst muss Sänger Bruce Corbitt das Debüt von WARBEAST komplett einsingen.

Das Debüt ist übrigens ein Klassiker, trotz (oder gerade weil) es damals im Metal Hammer den letzten Platz im Soundcheck belegt hat :rolleyes:.
